Dubbed by Symmetria as the Baby Lift, this skin tightening procedure simply involves the production of directed collagen with the use of PDO threads.
PDO (polydioxanone) threads have been used in vascular surgery for over thirty years. They are completely safe, completely absorbable by the body and do not cause any reactions.
Using a fine needle, an internal mesh is created under the skin and that is what supports and lifts the tissue. The threads cause an induced inflammatory reaction attracting platelets and neutrophils, which stimulate fibroblasts and monocytes. Thus this enables the production of collagen, elastin and angiogenesis.
Collagen is also produced by the irritation of the skin from the application of the needle, which enhances the effects of the treatment.
During treatment you may see small bruises or a mild edema that can be treated with a cooling or arnica cream and will disappear in a few days. The appearance of the skin improves daily and up to three months after treatment. The results last for about one and a half years and the session take place at the clinic, without the need for anesthesia. The Baby Lift treatment can be combined with laser lipolysis known as i-Lipo, the skin tightening method Velashape or injectable mesotherapy for fat loss.
