During these times where we need to #StayHome and use technology to communicate with others, video calls are here to stay.

When we use our computers and mobile phones to chat to friends, family and colleagues, we want to look good - put together and presentable – especially when we’re on work calls.

Here are some useful tips to achieve the desired result: 

1. Make all video calls from the brightest room in your house. 
2. Buy a ring flash and place it behind the device you are using to make the call. Τhe ring flash brightens the appearance of the skin on camera, and therefore lessens the appearance of shadows and wrinkles or fine lines on your face. 
3. Place the device at an angle that flatters you. This should not be angled upwards from below, which is the worst angle for your face. The camera should always be directly in front of our face, at eye level.
4. Take some time to do your hair and makeup, without doing anything over the top.
5. Remember not to touch your face or make too many facial gestures.
6. Make sure you are dressed according to the circumstances of the video call, especially if it is work-related – make sure that you are wearing work attire.
