Therapies, Methods & Tips To Combat Cellulite

 Non-Invasive Therapies

If your belong in the ‘blessed’ category of women who are only experiencing a minor case of cellulite and you’re simply looking to tone and improve the appearance of the skin in the affected area, then select a fragrant detoxification treatment with organic essential oils.

If you are part of the unlucky few that have a very obvious problem, then you can resort to treatments that require the use of specialized equipment, such as ultrasound and radiofrequency, that expand or shrink swollen fat cells and in turn renew slowed down cellular processes. A few of the therapies that you may encounter along your mission to eliminate cellulite are; the Thermage, Endermologie and Velashape treatments. The Thermage treatment tightens and lifts the skin and Endermologie reduces swelling in the tissues and adipocytes by reforming the contour. Velashape recently made headlines with celebrity fans such as Kim Kardashian admitting to undergoing such a treatment. What this ‘miraculous’ treatment essentially does is it converts the energy of infrared radiation and radio frequencies to heat, which increases the metabolism of the adipocyte. The process leads to the shrinkage of adipocytes, which in turn reduce cellulite and increase regional fat loss. Moreover it also helps the production of collagen and elastin that tighten loose skin.

Mesotherapy, both the injecting as well as the non-injecting kind, is yet another non-invasive method to combat cellulite. Non-injectable mesotherapy is a painless needle-free method. This method is an improved system for transdermal delivery of active pharmaceutical substances, which, thanks to its lipolytic and firming properties it improves microcirculation and causes a degradation of adipocytes. The penetration of substances is achieved by applying specially configured micro currents to the treated area, which is simultaneously cooled by the headpiece of the machine. This technique achieves the penetration of substances into the adipose tissue, resulting in the treatment of cellulite and localized fat.

Invasive Methods

If you’re looking to combat localized fat then your best bet is to undergo liposuction. Liposuction involves the removal of fat from specific areas of the body where it is accumulated. However, under no circumstances is liposuction a recommended method for losing body weight, nor anti-cellulite itself.

TIPS:

  • Whilst taking a shower, make frequent alternations of cold and hot water on the area where there is cellulite. Use a bath glove to help stimulate circulation.

  • After taking a shower, massage the affected area with special rollers so as to achieve a better absorption of your slimming cream
