This innovative, non-surgical procedure corrects relaxation with special absorbable threads that have been widely used in medicine and have high biodegradability and biocompatibility. The Silhouette™ Soft threads are transparent, with small cones in opposite directions that "lift" the skin, in a similar way to a surgical facelift. The surgeon notes the points where the threads will pass, and a local anesthetic is injected along with a topical antiseptic. Then the threads are moved under the skin and when all the cones enter, the doctor pulls them through so that the skin is lifted to the desired point. Normally, four threads are used, two on each side. When the Silhouette™ Soft threads enter the dermis of the skin they trigger the production of collagen therefore reinforcing the results.

The results are evident immediately after treatment, they continue to improve over the next 3 months, and can be maintained for about 12 to 18 months. After treatment, you may experience slight swelling and possible sensitivity for a few hours. Any bruising that may appear will gradually recede. There are no incisions in the skin, or outer stitches. More importantly, however, is that there is no post-operative pain or any serious complications, e.g. hematoma or nerve injury, which may occur in a surgical facelift.

The Do’s and Don’ts after your face treatment

By taking care of the aftereffects of your face treatment, you are giving it time to adapt to the active ingredients, thereby boosting the effectiveness of the protocol in restoring your skin’s health.

Please follow the following instructions

• Avoid touching the treated area for a few hours following your treatment. After that, the area can be gently washed with soap and water.
• Avoid applying make-up on your skin immediately after the treatment.
• Immediately following your procedure and for 48 hours thereafter, please avoid; heat exposure, tanning beds, face massaging, pressing treated areas and extreme hot or cold temperatures such as steam rooms and saunas.
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning creams after the treatment. Always use SPF 30 or greater on the treated area.
• You are not allowed to use any retinol, at-home peels and skincare containing acids, bleaching creams, abrasive skincare products or exfoliants in the treated area for at least 72 hours.
• Keep your skin moisturized and hydrated. Be sure to drink lots of water.
• Maintain a healthy and balanced diet.
• Use a clean pillowcase and fresh towels.
• If another treatment is considered after your treatment, please inform your healthcare professional. Consider your follow-up treatment at least 1 week after, always following your doctor’s recommendations.

+ Avoid

• Bending over or lying down for 4 to 6 hours.
• You must keep your head upright for at least 6 hours after injection.
• Exercise and high-intensity workouts for 48 hours.
• Some medications might increase your risk of bruising. Be sure to ask your doctor when it’s safe to start taking them again.

Extra Tip: We recommend the consumption of soft food and avoid pressure or massaging the area for about two weeks.
