"Body positivity" is about feeling comfortable in your own body. It is about appreciating it, even though you may not have the proportions of a model. It has to do with admitting that even if you do not like everything about you, you are okay with it. It is about accepting, getting acquainted and reconciling with the changes that happen to you, and to continue to enjoy life. The pandemic has come to overturn the quest for beauty and "transformation" and to lead us on a journey to discover the best possible version of ourselves.
At SYMMETRIA® we have stopped talking about diet and replaced this term with healthy body weight, in an effort to support BODY POSITIVITY. Despite how important our body image is for our self-confidence and self-esteem, it is not everything. There is so much more to our identity than how we look. What I consider beauty is facing everyday life with peace, giving your battles and keeping your soul beautiful, realizing how lucky you are to live your life close to people you love and to receive love in return.
