HIFU or High Intensity Focused Ultrasound has the effect of a non-surgical facelift. The protocol succeeds strengthening in existing skin collagen and at the same time, it activates fibroblasts, which produce new collagen by stimulating the natural process of collagenesis. The action of the ultrasound waves specifically targets the deepest layers of the connective tissue of the skin and muscle layers of the skin, known as the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System).
