5 Tips for better sleep

Researchers are constantly conforming the importance of sleep - and getting enough of it. Proper management of our sleep is not only crucial for our physical, but also our psychological well-being. According to studies, lack of sleep may lead to obesity, as it creates the urge to consume more low-quality, high-calorie food, resulting in weight gain.

Let's take a look at 5 simple tips that will help us to sleep better:

  1. Exercise helps, if performed several hours before going to bed.
  2. Take a note of how caffeine affects your sleeping pattern and adjust the amount and timing of caffeine consumption accordingly.
  3. Avoid eating and drinking alcohol for at least 2-3 hours before going to bed.
  4. Switch off all electronic devices at least one hour before going to bed.
  5. Make sure your bedroom has an ideal temperature for sleeping, and is dark and quiet.
