What to eat in high temperatures

With the thermometer peaking, diet is a matter of particular concern to us, either because we do not have much appetite, or because heavy foods are not appropriate and mainly because what we consume should give us the necessary hydration.

The basic recommendations when it is hot regarding your diet are the following:

  • Drink plenty of fluids (mainly water and natural juices).
  • Follow a low-calorie diet, which will include mainly vegetables and fruits, with a reduction in fat.
  • Avoid alcoholic beverages.

However, the most moisturizing foods include watermelon, which contains about 92% water, and you can eat it alone or in salads, and cucumber, which contains about 95% water, an essential ingredient of the Greek salad, but can also be consumed plain as a snack.
