Proactive Men!

The bathroom is probably one of the most important areas of the house. In the morning, we go in with puffy eyes, messy hair that we would never want to be seen in public with, bad breath and a somewhat drained-looking body. A few minutes later we come out looking fresh, clean and tidy, ready to "seize the day". So, what do you actually need, if you haven’t utilized it already, in order to stay groomed and tidy?

Facial Cleanse

Prefer to wash your face with a mild detergent soap in liquid form, which does not dry the skin and is ideal for removing dirt and excess oil. If your skin tends to break out, opt for a specific product that combats seborrhea.

Shaving Set

If you have not already done so, replace your disposable razor with an appropriate shaving kit that includes a shaving cream or foam, a brush and a good razor with interchangeable blades.

After-Shave

A good, "deep" shave is completed when you apply a soothing after-shave. Select an alcohol-free after-shave that will not irritate sensitive skin.

Electric Shaver

An electric shaver that will help you trim away sideburns or eliminate any unwanted sprouting hair until you visit your hairdresser should not be missing from your drawer. Prefer one that works with batteries.

Magnifying Mirror

You will find it very useful in the removal of hair and in noticing specific details that are too difficult to spot using a regular bathroom mirror. Beware - though it may be difficult to resist the temptation – of squeezing any pimples, unless you want to end up with irritation, redness and even more pimples.

Moisturizing Cream For Face and Body

Many men neglect to hydrate their skin, which is important for revitalizing and improving its appearance. When it comes to the face, opt for a light moisturizer that can be combined with sunscreen to protect you from harmful sunrays. Moving on to the body, pick a light body milk composition that contributes to skin elasticity.

Peeling and Face Mask

The areas of the face that men shave go through the exfoliation process, but the rest of the face needs a gentle peel as well so as to remove dead cells and sebum and help the skin to remain clean and moisturized. You can use an exfoliator once a week and for optimum results, you could combine it with a face mask for extra hydration.

Lip Balm

A lip balm with SPF sunscreen is essential to protect your lips from the sun, cold and dryness. Choose one that does not contain perfumes and additive colors.

Deodorant

The secretion of sweat and the unpleasant odor that accompanies it, which is much more pronounced in men than women, can be controlled with the appropriate deodorant. What is also necessary, of course, is diligent cleaning of the area due to the fact that the armpits gather up to a hundred trillion bacteria, many of which produce very persistent odors.

Shower Gel, Shampoo & Conditioner

The core “trilogy” of each bathroom, whether you’re male or female, is the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Most men do not use conditioners however their application can significantly improve the appearance of hair. Apply conditioner to your hair and rinse immediately - unless you have long hair where it is best to leave it on for three or four minutes before rinsing.

Hair Styling

Choose a styling cream or a light gel that will style your hair without "petrifying" it. Men have a tendency to overdo it with styling products and the results are not particularly appealing. Trust us, we know what we’re talking about!

 Manicure - Pedicure

Of course, in order for your limbs to look tidy, it is crucial that you pay attention to your nails. A great place to start is by purchasing a nail clipper or scissors, a cuticle cutter and a nail filer to correct the details after cutting the nails.

Dental Care

It goes without saying that good oral hygiene is essential regardless of gender. Beyond the basic toothbrush-toothpaste kit, mouthwash will offer you fresh breath, while floss is necessary to remove food debris from places that can not be reached by a toothbrush.
