In order to minimise the discomfort level a local numbing creme is used prior to the treatment for approximately 25 minutes. If judged necessary the doctor will proceed to a local numbing of the skin using injectable Xylocaine.
The patient may return to normal everyday activities immediately after the treatment with the proper instructions from the doctor.
A soothing creme is applied along with sunscreen if necessary right after the treatment.
Bruising of a rather small extent and minor hematomas or oedemas may present but are generally quickly improved and absorbed within the following days without creating discomfort to the patient.
