Golden Miracle

The many ways that you can enjoy the hidden properties of turmeric.

Turmeric, which is becoming increasingly more popular, is a perennial plant that derives from South Asia and yields that familiar yellow powder after being processed. It is widely used as a spice and its flavor is slightly intense. Turmeric’s characteristic yellow color is a result of curcumin, its energy element that gives it its healing properties – seeing as turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anticancer activity. This Golden Miracle has also been associated with strengthening the immune system, reducing cholesterol and sugar levels, diabetes prevention, and protection against Alzheimer's disease.

The turmeric plant is considered sacred in India and Indonesia, and has a special place in traditional Asian medicine as it is believed to cleanses the body and is used to treat digestive disorders, fever, inflammation, arthritis, liver disease, but also for the treatment of wounds as it accelerates the healing process. Finally, it is also used in cosmetics for the treatment of skin discoloration and acne scars.
